Calming for car rides

I have some children who struggle with motion sickness. They like using this in a roller ball and thinks it helps calm their tummies. I wonder if it relaxes their apprehension of car sickness. Whatever it is, the scent is very pleasing and I enjoy having it in the car! :-)
