Tamanu Carrier Oil is cold pressed from the fruit of the Calophyllum inophyllum tree. The fruit (seeds) are hand gathered from the coastal Tamanu Trees, as they are said to yield the highest quality oil. This remarkable, glistening greenish-brown oil is a must-have for skin issues. Tamanu is rich and thick and absorbs into the skin luxuriously and slowly. It is best used within a blend with other carriers, because of its viscosity. Tamanu can help support reddened, irritated, skin prone to blemishes, and offer relief from pesky outdoor bug bites; soothing and repairing as it is applied.

Using Tamanu Carrier Oil can also help reduce the appearance of scars and marks caused by weight gain or pregnancy. Tanamu is amazing. I know that people complain about the smell but I can overlook that because I can see what a big difference it's made by using it.

I love the funky smell. I had it in the fridge for a while and when I had rosacea amd my fsce didn't like any moisturising cream, I tried tamanu and my skin loved it, no burning.

That smell!

I have heard wonderful things about this oil, but was unprepared for the “aroma.” I read after the fact that it is a cross between curry and musty old books. That pretty much nails it. However, PT was wonderful as always and refunded my $ with no return. I MAY take a small amount and experiment with some strong smelling EOs to see if it can be overcome, but for now, it is sitting in my cupboard.

I ordered this to see how the quality, smell, feel, and consistency was with this particular oil. I was really glad to find the quality was excellent, smell has what I would describe as a really good, rich, oak note to it, consistency is really good, and the feel is smoother, a little thicker then your almond or jojoba (similar to an avocado oil). PT’s organic Tamanu oil, really is a quality one, with I’d have to say, a really good smell. As they recommend, it is a great oil for body products, hair, really dry skin, and the list goes on. I’d highly recommend this if you’re looking for a good, organic Tamanu oil, from a trusted company.
